Dietmann was founded as a piano manufacturer in Wellington, near Cape Town, in 1955. In 1991, due to resource and currency issues, it shifted to office furniture manufacturing under new ownership. In 2001, a graduate mechanical engineer, became a partner and later the sole owner and CEO of Dietmann. He has expanded the business into a leading office furniture provider in Southern Africa.

Twelve years ago, Dietmann diversified its market to include the retail sector. Shelving and in-store merchandising display stands were added to the Dietmann product range.

We have a staff compliment of eighty employees.

We operate in an equal opportunity environment and are proud to be a level 2 BBBEE company.

Dietmann offers an in-house research, design and development centre. The facility is integrated into our CNC based production line so that we can enure repetitive accuracy as we create the building blocks for your assemblies.

Our method of design and manufacture gives us the ability to supply single part replacements if necessary.

The in-house veneer processing and upgrading capabilities enables Dietmann to produce bespoke executive and boardroom furniture for corporate and private clients.

Our furniture is “knock-down” or flat-packed designed for shipping cost and transport volume optimization.

In-House Quality Control

The production facility at Dietmann Furniture and Dietmann Shelving currently spans 5000 m² or 54 000 ft².

Dietmann Factory at Wellington

We use an experienced, integrated multi-supplier transportation supply network. We are presently in the process of expanding our network to include international shipping routes from the Cape Town ports. Our present range is our land-bound neighbours.

As an example of our capacity, Dietmann can produce seventy-five complete workstations including pedestals and freestanding storage cabinets per week when operating on a single shift basis.

Depending on the needs of our clients we are flexibly able to increase our output to maufacture continuously on a 24 hour basis.

Quality furniture on time at a fair price.
